I have been looking all over for a turbo kit, someone suggested tearstone.com or something like that but it had a lot of bad reviews. Any other suggestions?

the kits are made to order. they are not currently in stock. tearstone and donny are currently working to make the kits so that they are in stock, but they have not gotten to that point yet.

Tearstone is a good guy and he has been helping a few members over at club3g to get their parts.

There was another vendor called All Performance Parts that sold the kits. it has seemed that this vendor has been really slowing the process down. there were three guys who were waiting for parts for almost 6 months for the turbo kit. when Tearstone started to check out what was going on, and come to find out....all 3 had ordered the kits from All performance parts.

now, donny has dropped this vendor. so hopefully, these shipping times will start getting better.

but don't get me wrong, i believe that 4-6 months of waiting is entirely too long to wait. but atleast they are trying to fix the problems. it seems that they are doing a good job as of late.

they sell the DDP kit, which is a horribly designed kit. you have to make modifications to make it fit.

So some turbos you do have to make a lot of mods and some you don't?

I wish I would have gotten the v6 too, but I'm upside down on my loan, and I don't see anyway out of the car, so I'm stuck with it. As far as gas goes it's not that big a difference.

the kits that are not designed well, yes you will have to make modifications. but the kits that are designed correctly, they will be bolt-on.

why do you wish you had the v6? you would be upside down even more in your loan.

Is it hard to get one of these turbo kits?

Also you never told me what pinned meant?

pinned is just a word, i explained what it meant when a topic was 'pinned'.

ok, i just thought of an analogy. if you have a poster that you want to put on your wall, you would 'pin' it to the wall(or tape it) so that it stays there and doesn't fall. thats what we do with topics that we don't want to "fall" to the bottom. we 'pin' them to the top of the forum so they will stay there.

it is easy to get one of these kits, but its expensive. and the V6 kits are more expensive than the 4cyl kits.
