A problem with my heater.

The heater only works when I step on the gas pedal! I used to start the car, and let it warm up, and the heater would work just fine.
Now I let the car warm up, and I’ll get a little heat. When I start driving it works just fine and then I’ll come to a stop light and then it blows out cold air, But when I step on the gas it warms up again. After a considerable amount of time it starts to work ok again. It's just not working like it used too. I feel like something is wrong with it. Is that normal for a 03 eclipse with 22K on it:-(

Maybe someone could tell me what could be wrong with it?

Def. sounds like the heater core... I had the same problem in the car I had before my eclipse... It was relatively cheap to fix... especially if you can do the work yourself

have you checked your antifreeze level???.... most newer cars wont blow warm air if the anti-freeze level is too low
