Plenum Vacuum Leak

I am in love with my truck. Wish they still made this beautiful magician of a SUV. At 209k, Gandolf the White (03 montero xls 3.8) has developed a vacuum leak where this vacuum actuator attaches to open the secondary flaps. He stalls out and idles erratically. Can this be by passed or fixed? Or am I buying a whole new plenum to get 1 small piece of plastic? Or should I start searching for a new Montero xls? I don't want to part with the love of my life.

Is the leak down in the middle of the bracket? This same engine is used in other Mitsubishi models. You may be able to find the part in a junkyard or possibly from an overseas supplier. I also have an '03 XLS. I've had to go both routes before with mine. Please let us know what you find.
