Question Outlander 2003

Scan tool live data reads FUELSYS1 CL normally. Hard acceleration live data goes to OL-Drive motor just hangs at 1500 RPM doesn't sound like it's firing on all cylinders. Normal acceleration FUELSYS1 reads CL only goes to OL-Drive. Seems to be the reason for the problem OL-Drive but can't find any information on what causes that reading. ALLDATA no help. Wife pissed car not running right. Any ideas why it would go to OL open loop Drive?

Actual ODBII error codes would be useful

Pulled plugs and checked for normal burn. All light brown no oil foul. These are Iridium type plugs and the gap had widen to 60 thousands. Re-gaped to 40 Thousands. Went out last night and tried to get the crud blown out using the manual shift option. Ran several miles at high RPM's 5-6K. Acceleration above 2k RPM did better but, I was able to get the first of only two error's codes since this started. One misfired Cyl 1 then later Cyl 4. When I returned Idle was higher now 1.5 K RPM. I did think that I heard some carbon chunks come lose so cyl chambers should be clean now. No knocks heard. The bogging will happen in PARK and while on the road. Just never seen this in a car without setting more codes.

I am surprised that more error codes haven't been logged. Up till last night no error codes have been logged. I have ordered new injectors, fuel pump filter, Fuel pressure regulator and will be here Monday. Should have parts installed by Wed. Working outside and it's summertime here so have to squeeze it in at night when not raining. In the mean time I will remove fuel pump and look at fuel tank clean and seal if needed. I suspect water over the years and crud from gas has just plugged injectors, regulator and fuel pump filter.

This happened last year after the car sat for a while while doing the second timing belt replacement 8 years 125k miles between them. Coils and plug wires were replaced last year during timing belt change. Used several cans of Royal Purple and lot's of Seafoam and Lucas injector cleaner. Was able to correct the problem until now. 20K miles ago.

Have just broken this car in 250K miles on the OD (HA HA)!. When it had been running good until 2 weeks ago and hasn't generated a code till last night while running it like I stole it. Repeated the Seafoam, Royal Purple and Lucas stuff and got some improvement. Can't rely on it to perform when pulling out in traffic since it will bog down and won't accelerate.

Had normal replacement stuff A/C compressor, blower motor, struts, front bushings, CV shafts but, has been a great car. Plan on keeping it till the doors fall off. Will probably weld them back on and keep going till I can't get parts. I must say THANK GOD for RockAuto.com. Sorry for the long rant but wanted to get the history facts out there.

Did fine out the OL (OPEN LOOP) is normal for hard acceleration which just affects Fuel trim. I would suspect that when letting off the Accelerator the OL is because the system is waiting till throttle and RPM to stabilize before setting Fuel Trim. So I think I just never paid any attention to this and didn't understand the function fully. So I hope that's just normal.
