4b11 to 4b12 swap

Im new and my wife has 2 Lancers. 2011 lancer es 2.0 (4b11) auto....all is well. the other....2008 lancer 2.0 (4b11) 5 speed ....bought with blown motor and now ready to swap ...dont want the hassle of 4b11t turbo swap...but would like more power...so my idea is to swap in a 4b12 (2.4L)....

From reading thru these forums I think I understand it will bolt right up to tranny...but other people discussing swaps are saying for auto tranny you would definitely have to have ECU flashed or tuned...but with the manual will it drop in bolt up and be ready to drive?? Anybody tried it or have any experience or opinions??? Please any help would be great...

4b11 -> 4b12 i'm pretty sure you would need things like ECU due to the differece in engine alone.

Audio: JVC KD-ABT22 / JL sub+speakers / Sound deadening
Engine: WR-SRI / RRM 25% UDP / 6G75 TB
Other: RA Mudflaps
