Road Race Motorsports makes a turbo kit for our engines. Great DIY kit and provides decent power. It is just a little expensive.

I have seen some people that are more mechanical buy parts from the ralliart and evo x. Such as the exhaust manifold, turbo, ecu, intercooler and piping. Then bolting it onto there engines. Ralliart and Evo owner are always trying to get rid of there stock stuff, so finding the parts second hand shouldn't be an issue. This will save a lot of money, just have to have the mechanical knowledge to put it all together.

I would reccomend getting better rods, pistons, and valve springs if you go turbo.

I think keeping it NA is better from a reliability stand point. You can build up the engine to make close to 200 hp. Do intake (drop in or cold air, not short ram), full exhaust, upgrade camshaft, polish the head and throttle body, lightweight pulleys, get extreme and remove the powersteering pump/ac compressor. Lastly TUNE, all those together will be twice as efficient after a tune.

Honestly by the time you spend the money on all of the parts, tuning the ECU etc you probably could have sold your lancer and simply bought a RA or EVO from the get go. There is more that is different than simply a turbo kit to top it off, and the 2.0L were FWD only if memory serves me correctly for the base lancers, only the 2.4L even coming in a AWD option.
