Got the car a week ago with 118,180 miles it has a cold air intake, 4-1 headers with the cat back that go from the headers

Now my questions

1) what is the top speed for these cars because at 100 it don't go no more unless on a down hill is it a motor problem or transmission?

2) will the cam shaft there are different types and I heard... the bigger stage ones need turbo and will cause me to lose power and speed if I get a stage 3 so I'm guess the best to get is stage 1 or 2?

3) know where I can by a cam shaft at a decent price?

4) if i get the cam shaft and the gears will that give me better reaction time and speed? And if I get a turbo do I have to take them out and put a bigger stage shaft and gears again?

5) I want to turbo the car know any links to any site that has a stage2 or better turbo kit at a good price?

6) when I get my car the turbo do I also have to buy the bigger fuel pump and rails and injectors to complete the turbo and upgrade my ecu??

7) know any site that has upgraded ecu already or any site that has any or everything I'm asking for???

Yes I'm new to the eclipse and the upgrading but willing to work with someone who can help me all around with all the question I have please thank you

To start you have your plurals and singulars backwards. This car only has one header (not headers), and has two camshafts so you would need to upgrade both not just one.

There are three grinds for these cars. Turbo, N/A and nitrous. Turbo grinds typically have more duration while the N/A will have a little more lift, and I'm not sure about the nitrous one because I never looked into it.

The best thing to do would be to start googling "420a turbo." You will find months of reading about how to turbo your car and upgrade paths. Not to be a dick, but I really doubt any one here will take the time to type all of it up...again. THere's just too much to cover.

Before you start talking top speed, what do you have in the car for safety? Brakes? Tires?

I've had my 1997 RS up to 155mph, and then later that night to 145mph with a passenger, but that was going downhill and took about 2-3 miles to get there on an old shut down highway. We both had helmets, and a 4 point harness. A roll bar would have also been a good idea, but this car was going to be sold.

I'd like to throw in two cents, your talking about cams when you should be talking turbos. I think cams are more for adavanced racers. After you start from the bottom up.
A stock 420A with cold air and exhaust only make it more effecient. If your looking for power start with the turbo mani, turbo, fmu, and downpipe, intercooler, pipes, blowoffvalve, High pressure fuel pump, Lmfao, yeah theres alot to cover and a cold beer.
Do a little reading, theres a ton of info here

On flat ground a GS will do about 115-120 that's when fuel cut kicks in and she bucks like a horse. I'll have mines back on the road in about 1-2 months only got 74,000 on the OD I'm gonna have a blast here in The Big Star need to call up the car carrier the same day I get that fat check.
