Hello I have a new fuel filter from a 92 colt, can I use the same fuel filter in a 93 colt with same engine size?
The code on 92 and 93 fuel filters are different at parts store even though they look the same.
I took a quick look at the Fram website. They show different part numbers for each. The difference may just be thread size but that would be enough to obviate a swap. I think you need to track down the right filter.
Thanks for the reply. I went to the parts store and exchanged for the right one.
The difference is the threads.
I picked up the Chilton manual and proceeded to change filter. I took back seat out pulled carpet back to disconect electric fuel pump but I could not figure out how to disconect wire it has some strange plastic clip.
I then tried to pull fuse out but could not figure out which one.
Then I said the hell with it wrapped fuel filter in a rag and discovered I do not have proper wrench sizes.
Does anyone know proper wench sizes? And is releasing fuel pressure all that nessesary.
I am just trying to save my self a few bucks and do things myself
