Hi all,

Can you tell me where the auto transmission fluid filter is please?

I downloaded the AT manual but it shows the filter on top of the transmission (like the Charisma), but mine does not have this.

I cant find a spin-on type filter on the transmission so am wondering if its inside the pan (mounted vertically with the dip stick in it).

Also, what is the size of the drain plug seal ring?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I found out that, on the earlier models, there were two transmission oil filters, one non serviceable, internal filter, to protect the valves and one spin on type general transmission oil filter on top or the outer casing. The spin on filter was deleted as they found the internal filter was good enough on its own. The internal filter would only be replaced if the transmission was being dissassembled.

So, in my case, to perform a fluid change, there is no filter to change. The recommendation is to flush the system as described in the attachment (using allot of expensive fluid). I found the fluid on Ebay £67 for 16 litres, from a company in Milton Keynes (which by coincidence is where I am).

I will update with my progress.

Fingers crossed :)
