Hi,
I was hoping someone could help me figure out what is going on. I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor LS V6 Front Wheel drive and I am trying to remove the upper oil pan.
The problem is I have removed all the mounting bolts to the upper oil pan but it won't separate in the vertical plane from the transmission [ had 4 14mm bolts holding it to the transmission and two long stemmed bolts also removed]. The oil pan separates from the bottom of the engine in the horizontal plane [ I removed 14 10mm bolts]. What am I doing wrong?? It appears that the transmission and the upper oil pan are somehow linked to the transmission and I am hesitant to force things. Thanks for your help! Jimmie
