Hi I'm new here,I've just got a 2008 2.0 diesel outlander awd elegance,nice car but diesel tank is damp on bottom but not dripping, is it a hard job to drop tank

Remove the exhaust.
Lift up the back seat and under it you will find a cover. Lift that up and disconnect fuel sender and pipes.
undo bolts holding tank to floor and remove

Sounds easy enough ,will tank drop past propshsft on add model

No. With AWD version you will need to lower the prop too.

The most likely place for a leak is at the sensor hole. Might be worth checking that first
