Thought this would be an intsresting topic to discuss. Maybe some users can find a better setting for their stereos.

I have the stock Rockford Fosgate system (sun & sound, nav & tech packages)

I have found my setting to be good at:

Rap sound type
Live sound field
Punch setting at 1-2 clicks below max
bass at 1-2 clicks below max
mid right between middle and max
treble 1-3 clicks above the mid range setting
Speakers are set to center (not faded either front/back or left/right)

to me it sounds balanced, not too piercing and a good support from the bass.

I have a well rounded music taste which includes r&b, pop, acoustic, country etc.

So whats your favorite settings?

Treble: 5
Fader: 0
Balance: 0
Volume: always between 40-45

I listen to: metal, alternative, grunge, occasional rap --- mostly bands like: godsmack, disturbed, staind, mudvayne, slipknot, korn, drowning pool, metallica, stp, alice in chains, sound garden, nirvana, etc... Lots of heavy guitar in these bands so I pump up the mid and bass so as to balance it out when volume is at 45.
And I only listen to MP3 cd's or my iPod. They sound better and louder than regular cd's cause you can edit the sound, pump up the decibels when you rip the cd's to mp3. For me it's all about great sound at the loudest volume.

S&S (no navi)

Type: normal
Field: normal
Punch: 3-4
Bass: 3-5
Mid: 3-4
Treble: 3-4

No offsets.

Sometimes I'll throw it on Hip-Hop to get more pound. Usually when I listen to... well Hip-Hop or Rap.
I never do anything with the Field settings, sounds too distorted to me.
Hardly ever go higher that 4 with Punch cause it rattles the **** outta the trunk, it's annoying.

I wish we had a 5-6 point equalizer though. That would be sweet. Oh well...

Not a huge audiophile..

Vol: 20-25
Punch: 3-6
Bass: +3
Mid: 0
Treb: -2
All other settings: Stock

Volume goes up abit more (30-35) if i'm alone, blasting down an empty road, windows down or just with friends who like to have loud music..

Volume: 20-30

Favorite Music: anything but techno/metal.

I have the bass set so low b/c of subs, anything louder than 30 rattles my trunk/mirror too much.

I like deep bass and high definition treble for trance underground and electronica.

Hi,
I switched off the speakers in the back and now I can't figure out how to turn them on again. I have a Mitsubishi ASX from 2011, Rockford sound system. Can someone help me with this, would be much appreciated :)
