I read yes and I have read no. People who have modded their lancer..is it worth the money or should I get a different car?

If you expect to have an Evo when you're done, then NO.

If you don't expect to have an Evo when you're done, then YES.

Also if you have alot of patience yes. Those cars weren't built to be turbo'd. They weren't built to handle the extra power a turbo forces on it. The suspension and breaks are another thing to factor into a turbo build.

Heck, I wasn't even talking about a turbo. I was just addressing the generic question of "should I mod my Lancer". You can spend $2200 on NA mods and probably not even hit 175 hp.

Now if the question was "should I turbo my Lancer", my advice would be no, for the reasons you stated.

I still stand by my opinion that if you want an Evo, get an F-ing Evo. The Evo was meant to be modded.
