A shout out for 'reliable' info on what other Mitsubishi model 5 speed transmissions
will fit a 2002 2.4L petrol MK Triton / L200.
Is there another direct swap option?
Or a gearbox from another model which would work with say a rear housing,or mounting swap?

I am too far away from anywhere to drive around with a tape measure, and breaker yard, dismantler, wreckers
are unlikely to know or share.
I was wondering if any on the van ones had the same basic central and flywheel matching configuration?
Is there an ID plate I can locate to further my search?

*SHORT>Has anyone, or know of anyone else who has, succesfully placed another Mits model 5 speed in a 2wd MK??

UPDATE:
OK so I'll reply to myself here.
There are no options,in fact it seems there are only options for whether the gbox uses a hydraulic or mechanical (cable?) clutch.
So if anyone from the sunset side of Straya is reading this >
and knows where I can get a decent 5 speed box for 2WD Triton
Must suit hydraulic clutch, circa 2003-2006, no more than 200K kms
and no issues with it.
PM me
