Looking for part number MD136822, driver's side exhaust manifold for 1990 Montero. I need this part in order to pass smog check here is So Cal. Otherwise this little lady runs strong.
Unfortunately, it's becoming increasingly obvious that our beloved Monteros are hard to source parts for and I don't see it getting easier. The one place that has them active in their catalogue says that it may be 6 months before that part comes in. Yikes!
So any guidance you can offer is appreciated.

If the drivers side manifold has cracked it would be wise to order the passenger side one as well.

We have the Shogun Sport in the UK with the same 3.0 V6 and I had to change both manifolds due to cracking but 18 months apart.
This was not long after after the mandatory addition of Ethanol at 5%, now raised to 10% ethanol content.
