Howdy, I think we might have chatted previously. This looks all pretty new to me. So I hope I'm talking the right guy.
I'm still in my TP wagon. Going for 500Ks now. I can't believe I've had this over 16 years now. Paid $400 for it in Canberra, and it has never missed a beat. Go figure.
I'm chasing an original service manual for the 1990 TP Auto. EFI.

Cheers...Robin

Yes, we have chatted previously.

I just had a look through the old AMC forum archives:

It is good to see that you have found the new forum.

Welcome.

Let me know if I can help in the future.

I have had a look myself.

I am not doing any better than you, and agree that what you are finding is all that is on offer at the moment.

Sorry.

I'll see if I can find my copy. Note: IIRC the base idle speed is 900RPM and follows a procedure that needs the ISC plug disconnected.
My idle speed in drive is about 650 RPM and just stable enough with aircon going.
If everything else is set correctly (throttle position sensor etc) there is only one option and that is to fiddle with the throttle stop screw (not supposed to up it with this screw but my idle speed was to low as well - just under 600 rpm).
