i've just bought a Mitsubishi Space Star 1.9 DI-D S 5d (2004)
love the car, plenty of space, just need to find a manual on it,
loads up to 2003, can't find mine though,
she's not very fast but sounds good and has torque,
accelerator pedal seems rather close to the floor so not much travel,
not sure if thats how its suppose to be,
happy motoring, i intend to do the same :)

your 2004 space star has an electronic pedal

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331772199481?clk...&rmvSB=true

repair manuals

same shape and model space star ran 1998 to 2004.

all you need is the diesel information covering ( 1.9 direct injection engine )

. .for the rest of the car . the 2003 space star repair manual should do the job

Diesel engines were the 1.9 L DI-D with 101 hp (75 kW), introduced in 2002, and the 1.9 L DI-D S version with 115 hp (86 kW), released in 2003.

Cheers for that mate, its been a graft, only found out today there was no change
in them from 2000-2005 so a 2003 would do most,
appreciated it, looking to find out everything about them,
respect.

just a quick one, with mine being an DI-Ds should the pedal be higher and the car be faster?
seems rather sluggish and slow compared to some diesels i've driven, do you think i should
buy a new electronic pedal? thanks. and sorry for being a pain lol

Well if you have OBDII ... I would try to get codes first.
No codes ... good ... general tune up in order.
Tire pressure, change oil and filter, airfilter, fuel filter.

Depending on mileage - injectors wear out - spray pattern not so good - less power.
Same for fuel pump - less pressure - less power.
Might help using a fuel additive to clean combustion chamber from carbon build up.
Premium diesel will add a few horse power too ...
Take a look at intake - might need cleaning - same goes for EGR.

If possible - check if your pedal sends right signal to throttle motor and opens throttle fast and fully
