Dear all;

First post here - so please be nice :)

I'm looking for a solution for running a cable from the battery to the trunk, without causing any visible damage (it's a leased car).

I want to install a power inverter (3000w) and I saw the threads suggesting running it through the air duct into the car, but I'm afraid that the cable will be quite thick for that.

I had another idea - and this is where I count on your input...

Can I run a cable from the battery, through the side sill garnish, and the rear left wheel well into the trunk?

I intend to use a welder cable (about 1-1.5cm in diameter).

What do you say?

There is a grommet behind left hand front mudflap or near to it that goes into a box section. Inside the car under the Left front scuff plate sidewall is another grommet. this goes into the same box section. Dealers use this for fitting parking sensors to the front. You can go through the same way, just ensure it is correctly sealed
