Hi,
I have a 2004 3.2 Shogun which I can drive all day long with no problems.
Once I hitch my horse trailer on within about 45 mins the temp gauge rises to the red.
There is no smell from it, no milky colour in the oil cap or no smoke from the exhaust.
It has just passed its mot & emissions were passed too.
Anybody any idea on what could be causing this ??
Incidentally I am new to the Mitsubishi family

Thanks

Hi there - I also have a 3.2 Pajero (France) and have recently started experiencing this issue as well. While I haven’t yet done the inspection to confirm, I have found that this appears to be a well known problem in this vehicle, with a relatively straightforward fix. I would certainly recommend taking the time to check this first, as it is by far the cheapest resolution to an issue that may be the result of other factors that are far more costly to resolve.
