My 60 plate shogun 3.2 engine won’t Rev beyond 1500 remand throws out white smoke…after a while it will gradually up the rpm but yiu can feel car start to vibrate when the rpm goes up.

When I put it in drive it it hardly gets above 1200 rpm - then all Of a sudden it will kick in and seem fine…and then all of a sudden it will go back to not going over 1200rpm. This mainly seeems to happen when going up hill.

ive also noticed a crack in this pipe - could this be the cause?

Yes that is the cause.

The crack in the hose is allowing boost pressure to escape, hence the loss of power.

The bigger issue depends on how long it has been like that. If it has only just happened then its ok, but if it has been for a while, then it is possible you have accumalated a lot of particulate matter (soot) in your DPF, and may need a forced regeneration to clear this.

Check your engine oil level. If the level is ok or slightly high then you are ok, if it is near to the X on the dipstick then you have not been regenerating automatically, then will need a forced Regeneration and an oil change.

When the engine tries to automatically regenerate the DPF it puts extra fuel into the cylinders to create heat, and because of your split pipe, this would not be acheived, so the excess of fuel doesnt get burnt, but goes past the rings into the engine oil, causing the level to rise, and diluting the oil.

It is the intercooler to throttle body pipe. To get a price you will need to call a dealer in your country
