Ok, so I have a 1996 Galant S. 2.4L, Auto. I'm having a very strange issue with my transmission. When I start the car and move the gear selector from Park to Reverse, nothing happens. It might move just a bit, but usually nothing. I can shift to neutral and back to reverse and still nothing. The strange thing is that not only do all forward gears work normally, but if I shift the car into drive, let the gear engage, then shift straight from drive to reverse, reverse works fine. If I shift back to neutral, then back to reverse, reverse goes away. Reverse only works if I shift into drive first, then shift into reverse. Fluid is full and still pink. The check engine light is not on and there are no TCM trouble codes. I've tested all 4 valve body solenoids for resistance and manually energized each with 12 volts and I can hear each one working. Input and output speed sensor resistance also checks out. Just trying to figure out what else might be causing the trouble. Any ideas?
