Hello everyone i have a 09 lancer non-turbo 2.0
The issue is that i replaced the transmission oil cooler filter.and i found on one of the cooling lines that connect in to the radiator a valve that looks like some kind of one way valve.
I removed and blow air on both sides but the airflow was a little bit restricted and i would like to know if it is ok to replace that valve with a straight connector so the coolant flow better.

It can be possible or it will damage in a way the transmission?

Ps.
This is the part im referring
