Hey all, just bought an 03 GT and it’s solid. I noticed there is a hole in the top of the transmission. It is not threaded. There is a much smaller threaded hole next to it. Neither of these are plugged, and considering the car is about to see it’s first Wisconsin winter, I would hate to get salt and slush in there. I guess I’m curious what these are for because the car is stock besides an intake. Also wondering if I can just plug it up with a rubber piece. Thanks!

it looks like you might have a breather plug misisng, or possibly if the hole just leads to the bell housing a rubber plug might go in there. If there is no leaking around it, which it looks like there isnt then i would guess at the latter

Do these cars have a transmission dip stick? Was thinking it could be that. @DibbyDibbyDJ

It looks like it is level with the clutch housing under closer inspection. They do not always have dipsticks, and it would be to the right of the photo if there was.

I would suspect a rubber plug is missing
