Cant seem to find what bulb goes into the hazard switch on the dashboard, looked around but I have no clue what the bulb i need to replace the dead one is.

Anyone know which one I need or an alternative to the standard one?

If you post a picture of the socket someone might be able to help you with that.

I know I'm 2 years late and the OP maybe does not need the info anymore, but the bulb belongs to the BAX family.
It's usually identified based on its power and width, something like BAX8 W1,5W. Like this one:

Usually, any bulb having those 2 little upper wings should fit.
Take note that, at least on my own Colt, the **** bulb does not blink when the warning button is depressed (as you would expect it to). In fact it comes on and stays on continuously when putting on the position lights / headlights. Which makes it very annoying when driving at night, as it reflects against the windshield. Either I have a bad wiring connection or I installed a too stronger bulb I don't know, but I pulled it out and drive happily without it.
