Hi, i own a mitsubishi Pajero V6 1996 Model 3000 CC Petrol.
PROBLEM: it is emmiting white smoke on starting and when under load or AC is turned On. It also reduced the engine oil like about 0.75 litre after 3000 km running.
GENERAL CONDITION: it doesnt heatup, the temp guage is below half even in hilly terrain. Engine power is normal even in uphills. The exhaust throws water like it should normally. Average economy is little above 8 kms per liter on highway. No noise in the engine.
ACTION TAKEN: Someon suggested to change the engine oil from 10W40 to 20W50. I did that but the problem still persists.

Please help in problem findind and suggest some solution as well
Regards

IIRC white smoke means your burning a whole lot of extra oil. Pistons rings and other things could be shot at this point.

White smoke is coolant burning not oil...oil is blue smoke.

Your coolant runs through out the engine sounds like the block might be cracked and the engine head gasket may be ruined..you’re thermo sensor would be screwed if it’s not telling you the right temp..gasket leaks can cause oil and coolant to combust.
