It depends on the materials of the seat. If it's fabric, you can use water. I've used a carpet cleaner (with upholstery attachment) to clean the entire inside of a vehicle.

I meant the seat not the seat cover or floor mats or stuff like that inside the car.

So it's OK to really soak the seat wet ?

and you just spray it on its outside?

I don't think it can clean very well though but at least.

It was an old Sedan Mitsubishi Lancer around 1980s.

 

I've only ever used a Rug doctor in my car with the upholstery attachment... It works!
